I am a certified Lactation Consultant providing home visits throughout Western Massachusetts. Same and next-day appointments are often available, both in-person or remotely. I have been working with breastfeeding families since 2010, but nursing my own four children may have been the best education of all.
I know firsthand that the early weeks of breastfeeding are not easy, sometimes painful (!) and difficulties can arise. I am committed to helping parents achieve their breastfeeding goals, whatever they may be. . . and supporting them emotionally along the way.
My trusty medical grade scale accompanies me on all visits; it can track the smallest change in your little one's weight....even just a few grams of milk. A written, detailed Care Plan and ongoing Follow Up are vital components of my service. See the INSURANCE page for payment options.
Much of my unique skill set was acquired during an internship with renowned lactation expert Catherine Genna Watson. The observational and hands-on skills learned for correcting latch and improving milk transfer allow me to teach parents techniques that can help them overcome the toughest difficulties.
